Music Journal (GEC)
The Fall 2008 Gifted Education Communicator refers to this 29-page document that you can download from the CAG website. Many conductors are frustrated with time constraints in a performance class, and have difficulty attending to the VAPA standards for music while getting students ready for a concert. This journal began as a journey with Attilio Tribuzi, Music Director for San Mateo High School in the San Mateo Union High School District (SMUHSD). He wanted to challenge his most advanced students, teach the novices, and support every student in the band and chorus. In order to accomplish that vision, we, as parent volunteers, set about the task of creating a journal that could be used to introduce standards.
